What is Prana and its types

 

Prana

The word Prana is derived from the Sanskrit word "pra", which means "to fill", "give life", or "vital energy".

Prana is considered to be the most important Vayu or vital energy in Ayurveda. It is responsible for the proper functioning of all the other Vayus, including Vyana Vayu, Udana Vayu, Samana Vayu, and Apana Vayu. Prana also plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of the Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) in the body.

Gastrointestinal (GI) diseases include the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. What are the types of diseases?

Early sign of gastrointestinal disease

Certain autoimmune diseases, such as celiac disease, can affect the digestive system.

As we grow older, the digestive system changes and becomes more vulnerable to gastrointestinal problems.

Yoga treatment of gastrointestinal disease

Friends, if the practice of snake process and paschimottanasana is done continuously for a few days, then all the diseases of the stomach are cured. First of all we take snake poses, which are of this type


Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)

1. Start by lying face down on the floor with your legs extended backwards and your hands near your chest.

2. Breathe in and slowly lift your chest off the floor while keeping your hands in place, straightening your arms as much as possible.

3. Stay in this pose for 15-30 seconds while breathing deeply.

4. Exhale and slowly bring your chest back to the ground.

5. Repeat several times, resting after each time.

Paschimottanasana 

Stomach disorder in adult, causes, symptoms and yoga treatment  like Gastro intestinal problems, Early sign of gastrointestinal disease.


Friends, the practice of paschimottanasana is very good for you, it should be done slowly, which is like this -

1. Sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you. Make sure your spine is straight and your legs are bent.

2. Take a deep breath and raise your arms above your head.

3. Exhale and bend forward from the hips. Keep your spine straight and walk your hands to your toes.

4. If you're a beginner, you may not be able to touch your toes right now - that's okay! Stretch as much as you can while maintaining proper posture.

5. Stay in the pose for 6 to 8 breaths, or as long as is comfortable.

6. To come out of the pose, inhale and slowly bring your arms back to your sides while lifting your torso.

 7. Rest for a moment before repeating the pose if you wish.

Listen to your body and avoid any movements that cause pain or discomfort. If you suffer from any kind of medical condition, it is always best to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise.

 Lord Krishna showed supernatural powers from a very young age and was known to be very mischievous.  According to Hindu mythology, he performed many miracles including lifting Govardhan Hill to save people from floods and killing the demon Putana.  Lord Krishna also played an important role in the Mahabharata war between the Pandavas and the Kauravas.  He became Arjun's charioteer and imparted the knowledge of Bhagavad Gita.

When you activate a bandha, you are essentially creating a physical contraction in a specific part of your body, which helps to control the flow of energy (prana) within the body. This can lead to various benefits, such as improved physical strength and stability, enhanced mental focus, and increased spiritual awareness.

Bandhas in yoga 


Bandhas are energy locks in the body that are used in yoga to control the flow of energy (prana) and enhance the benefits of yoga asanas. There are three main bandhas in yoga:


1. Mula bandha

Also known as the root lock, this bandha involves contracting the muscles of the pelvic floor to draw energy upward and stimulate the root chakra.


2. Uddiyana bandha

3. Jalandhara bandha

5. Focus your attention on the space between your eyebrows.

6.  Inhale deeply and simultaneously focus your attention on the space between your eyebrows.

7.  Hold your breath for a few seconds.

8. Exhale  and Simulteneously focus your attention on the space between your eyebrows.

 9. Repeat this process for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Steps of Nadi shodhna Pranayama

Here are the steps  for practicing Nadi shodhna Pranayama-

1. Sit in a comfortable seated position with your spine straigth and your shoulders relaxed . You can sit on a cushions or block if that helps.

2. Please your left hand on your left knee ,  palm facing up and bring your right hand up to your nose. Make sure  your right hand is positioned so that  thumb can close your right nostril and your index and middle fingers can close your left nostril.

3. Begin by inhaling deeply through both nostril.

 4.  Using your right hand close your right nostril with your right Thumb and exahale slowly and fully through your left nostril.

5. Keeping your right nostril closed, inhale slowly and deeply through your left nostril.

6.  When your inhalation  is complete, close your left nostril with your index and middle fingers and release your right nostril.

7. Exhale slowly and fully through your right nostril .

8. Keeping your left nostril closed, inhale slowly and deeply through your right nostril. 

9. When your inhalation is complete, close your right nostril with your thumb, and release your left nostril.

 10. Exhale slowly and fully through your left nostril.

 11. That complete one round. Repeat for 5- 10 rounds, or 4 as long as you are comfortable .
